Khartoum: At least seven people were killed on Tuesday in drone strikes executed by the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF) in Sudan, as reported by local authorities and medical personnel. The strikes targeted the northern city of Al-Dabbah and the East Nile State, resulting in significant casualties and damage.

According to Anadolu Agency, the local administration in Al-Dabbah confirmed that five individuals lost their lives while several others sustained injuries when an RSF drone attacked college buildings. Mohamed Saber Kashkash, head of the city's security committee, accused the RSF of persistently targeting civilian infrastructures, labeling the group as a "terrorist militia."

In a related incident, a doctor and his son were killed in East Nile State, east of Khartoum, due to another drone strike. This attack was highlighted by the Sudan Shields Forces, an army-aligned group, in their statement. The Sudan Doctors Network, a local medical organization, has accused the RSF of additional attacks, including the killing of another doctor and injuries to his two sons in the Sharg En Nile district of Khartoum.

These attacks bring the total number of medical professionals killed by the RSF since the conflict began in April 2023 to 233, as per data from the Sudan Doctors Network. The group has urged the international community and human rights organizations to hold the RSF accountable for ongoing actions against civilians in Sudan.

The ongoing conflict between Sudan's army and the RSF has resulted in over 20,000 deaths and displaced approximately 15 million people, according to the UN and local sources. Additionally, a study conducted by US universities estimates the death toll to be around 130,000.
