Beijing: China has issued a warning to two Philippine aircraft after they allegedly entered the territorial airspace above disputed waters in the South China Sea. According to state-run Xinhua News, the incident occurred near the contested Huangyan Dao region.

According to Anadolu Agency, China Coast Guard (CCG) spokesman Liu Dejun claimed that the agency tracked, monitored, and warned off the Philippine aircraft in accordance with its laws and regulations. Liu accused the Philippines of provocations under unfounded pretexts that threaten China's sovereignty and regional peace.

Liu called on the Philippines to cease its infringements, provocations, and agitation, emphasizing that the CCG remains committed to safeguarding Beijing's national territorial sovereignty and maritime rights. The Philippines has not responded to these claims at the time of this report.

Huangyan Dao, also known as the Scarborough Shoal and Bajo de Masinloc, is a disputed territory claimed by both China and the Philippines. The area has been a longstanding point of contention in maritime disputes between the two nations.
