Doha: Qatar has strongly criticized Israel for its continuous breaches of the Gaza ceasefire agreement, asserting that such actions have turned the region into an uninhabitable zone. This statement was made by Qatari Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani during the opening session of the Shura Council, Qatar's legislative body.

According to Anadolu Agency, the Gaza Health Ministry reported that since the ceasefire came into effect on October 10, at least 80 people have been killed and 303 injured by Israeli military actions in the Gaza Strip. Emir Sheikh Tamim emphasized that the Gaza Strip remains an integral part of the Palestinian territories and the unified Palestinian state.

The emir also condemned the expansion of illegal Israeli settlements in the West Bank and efforts to Judaize the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound in East Jerusalem. Furthermore, he urged the international community to hold Israel accountable for what he described as a genocidal war in the Gaza Strip and called for the protection of civilians in the enclave.

Sheikh Tamim also criticized Israel for its attack on a Hamas delegation in Doha, labeling it as state terrorism. He noted the global condemnation of Israel's actions, which he said was powerful enough to shock the perpetrators.

The ceasefire agreement, which took effect on October 10, was part of a phased plan proposed by US President Donald Trump. This plan included the exchange of Israeli hostages for Palestinian prisoners and aimed at rebuilding Gaza with a new governing mechanism that excludes Hamas.
