Ankara: Trkiye's benchmark stock index, the BIST 100, opened Thursday at 10,584.59 points, marking an increase of 0.32%, or 33.25 points, from the previous day's close.

According to Anadolu Agency, on Wednesday, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index saw a rise of 0.8%, closing at 10,551.34 points. The daily transaction volume on that day was substantial, reaching 123.7 billion Turkish liras, equivalent to approximately $2.94 billion.

As trading commenced at 09.50 am local time (0650GMT), the exchange rates were documented at 41.9835 liras to the US dollar, 48.8010 liras to the euro, and 56.2130 liras to the British pound. Additionally, the price of an ounce of gold stood at $4,119.55, while Brent crude oil was being traded at $64.20 per barrel.
