South Korea to Equip Estonia with Chunmoo Rocket Launchers

Seoul: South Korea and Estonia have formalized an agreement for the supply of the Chunmoo multiple rocket launcher system to the Baltic nation. South Korean Defense Minister Ahn Gyu-back and Estonian Defense Minister Hanno Pevkur signed the memorandum of understanding (MOU) on Thursday, outlining the terms for Estonia's acquisition of this advanced artillery system.

According to Anadolu Agency, the MOU was signed during a meeting held on the sidelines of the Seoul International Aerospace and Defense Exhibition. While the agreement marks a significant step in defense collaboration between the two nations, specific details about the number of units, financial implications, and delivery schedules remain undisclosed at this time.

The defense ministers' meeting in Seoul also covered discussions on broadening defense and arms industry cooperation. They reached an understanding to strengthen defense exchanges and collaboration in various fields, including high-level visits, joint military training, and cybersecurity initiatives. The exhibition, which served as a backdrop for these discussions, is set to conclude on Friday.
