According to Anadolu Agency, turnout has been reportedly low. Tensions reportedly rose in several regions, and voters expressed frustration with the elections, criticizing a lack of decent competition.

Tanzania's first female President, Samia Suluhu Hassan, is facing her first elections since assuming office in 2021 after the death of her predecessor, John Magufuli.
