New york: US tech giants including Microsoft, Meta, and Alphabet have reported their revenues for the July-September period, with increases across the board for the corporations.
According to Anadolu Agency, Microsoft's revenue rose 18% year-on-year to $77.7 billion during this period, while its net profit increased 12% over the same timeframe to $22.7 billion. Additionally, Microsoft's earnings per share climbed from $3.3 to $3.72.
Meta, the owner of Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp, experienced a revenue surge of 26% on an annual basis, reaching $51.2 billion in the third quarter. However, its net profit saw a decline of 83%, falling to $2.7 billion. Meta's earnings per share dropped significantly from $6.03 in the same period last year to $1.05. The company has projected its revenue for the next quarter to be between $56 billion and $59 billion.
Alphabet, the parent holding company of Google, reported a 16% year-on-year increase in revenue, totaling $102.3 billion in the third quarter. Its net profit saw a 33% increase over the same period, rising to $35 billion, while its earnings per share increased from $2.12 to $2.87.
