Istanbul: Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan will host a crucial meeting on Gaza in Istanbul on Monday, Turkish diplomatic sources said. The meeting is set to bring together foreign ministers from Trkiye, the United Arab Emirates, Indonesia, Qatar, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, and Jordan. These nations previously convened with US President Donald Trump on September 23 during the UN General Assembly.

According to Anadolu Agency, the meeting will focus on the latest developments regarding the October 10 ceasefire and the ongoing humanitarian situation in Gaza. Fidan is expected to condemn Israel's actions that potentially threaten the ceasefire and emphasize the need for a unified international response to Tel Aviv's provocations.

Fidan will highlight the urgency for Muslim countries to coordinate their efforts to transform the temporary ceasefire into a sustainable peace. He is also anticipated to address the inadequacy of humanitarian aid currently entering Gaza and criticize Israel for not meeting its obligations in this regard.

The Turkish Foreign Minister will stress the importance of ensuring uninterrupted and adequate humanitarian aid delivery to Gaza as both a humanitarian and legal imperative. He will call for pressure on Israel to fulfill these essential needs.

Additionally, Fidan is expected to advocate for swift implementation of measures that would enable Palestinians to take over Gaza's security and administration. This move would aim to protect their rights while supporting the vision of a two-state solution. He will also stress the necessity of maintaining dialogue and close coordination regarding actions within UN platforms, the sources added.
