Speaking at the Bosphorus Summit in Istanbul, Morris commended Trkiye's leadership and noted the encouraging progress in Syria's political landscape, stating, "The pace of change in Syria away from conflict is very encouraging."

According to Anadolu Agency, Morris highlighted the Syrian government's steps toward political transition, including the holding of indirect elections. She stressed the importance of transparency and inclusion in these efforts to gain the confidence of the Syrian populace. In the context of global conflict and polarization, Morris underscored the strengthened collaboration between the United Kingdom and Turkey, noting their position as steadfast NATO allies on opposite ends of the European continent.

Addressing the humanitarian crisis in Gaza, Morris reflected on the dire conflict and the resulting human suffering. However, she expressed optimism, crediting the leadership of President Trump and the pivotal roles of Egypt and Qatar in crafting the Gaza peace deal. Acknowledging the ongoing challenges, she pointed to the hopeful developments of hostages being reunited with their families and increased humanitarian aid entering Gaza.

Morris highlighted the significance of the first stage of a cease-fire, which presents an opportunity for Palestinians to strive for a future free from conflict.
