Washington: US President Donald Trump announced the imminent deployment of a US-coordinated international stabilization force in Gaza, emphasizing the effectiveness of the current ceasefire. "It's going to be very soon. And Gaza is working out very well," Trump remarked during a summit at the White House, attended by the presidents of Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, and Tajikistan.

According to Anadolu Agency, Trump acknowledged the challenges posed by recent ceasefire violations by Israel but maintained that 'peace in Gaza' is progressing well. He underscored the collaborative efforts with regional countries and allies to uphold the ceasefire.

Additionally, Trump announced Kazakhstan's forthcoming participation in the Abraham Accords, which aim to normalize relations between Israel and majority-Muslim nations. He expressed hope that other Central Asian countries would join the accords, injecting fresh momentum into the initiative.

When questioned about potential discussions with Syrian President Ahmad Sharaa during his upcoming visit to the White House, Trump refrained from directly addressing the query. However, he praised Sharaa's leadership, stating, "I think he's doing a very good job. It's a tough neighborhood, and he's a tough guy, but I got along with him very well, and a lot of progress has been made with Syria."

On the topic of lifting sanctions on Syria, Trump commented, "That's a tough one, but a lot of progress has been made. You know, we took the sanctions off at the request of Trkiye, at the request of actually, Israel, at the request of a few different countries, and we took the sanctions off to give them a chance." The United Nations Security Council voted to lift sanctions from Sharaa and Syria's interior minister on Thursday.
