Al-dabba: Chairman of Sudan's Transitional Sovereignty Council Abdel Fattah al-Burhan visited civilians displaced from El-Fasher in the city of Al-Dabba in the Northern State, days after they fled following the city's takeover by the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF). The visit took place on Saturday, as Burhan sought to address the needs of those affected by the recent conflict.

According to Anadolu Agency, Burhan reviewed the services provided to the displaced civilians in Al-Dabba shelters, emphasizing his government's commitment to ensuring a dignified life for the displaced populace. Videos shared by the Council on its official Facebook page showed Burhan inspecting the displacement shelters and engaging with the affected civilians.

Burhan reiterated, "The government places the issue of the displaced at the top of its priorities." This declaration comes in the wake of the RSF's seizure of El-Fasher on October 26, during which local and international organizations reported massacres of civilians. The assault has raised concerns about the potential for further geographical partition within Sudan.

The conflict between the Sudanese army and the RSF, ongoing since April 15, 2023, has resulted in the deaths of thousands and the displacement of millions. Despite efforts by regional and international mediators, a resolution to the conflict remains elusive.
