Bursa: Turkish prefabricated building company Karmod announced its development of a steel-frame villa project in the Gemlik district of Bursa, emphasizing its commitment to sustainable architecture.

According to Anadolu Agency, the project aims to set a benchmark in sustainable housing by focusing on energy efficiency, structural safety, and environmentally friendly materials. The development will consist of four two-story villas, each with a total indoor area of 206 square meters. The project is expected to be completed within 40 days.

Ugur Kadir, general manager of Karmod Prefabrik, stated that their steel construction model facilitates the creation of fully sustainable homes, stressing the importance of eco-friendly materials, structural safety, and energy efficiency. He highlighted that the company's approach to sustainability goes beyond environmental and energy criteria, taking into consideration Turkey's seismic realities to design long-lasting and safe steel homes.

Kadir also noted that the villas would combine ergonomic comfort with the safety provided by steel construction, representing a strong example of sustainable architecture. He further explained that the homes have been designed in line with energy efficiency and renewable energy standards and are fully compatible with smart home systems. The prefabrication process is conducted at Karmod's Tuzla facilities in Istanbul, with on-site assembly carried out by their teams.
