Seoul: South Korean Prime Minister Kim Min-seok and Qatari Energy Minister Saad bin Sherida Al Kaabi engaged in discussions on enhancing cooperation in energy and artificial intelligence (AI) during a meeting held in Seoul. The dialogue focused on strengthening ties in areas such as liquefied natural gas (LNG) and advanced technologies.

According to Anadolu Agency, Kim highlighted Qatar's significant role as the second-largest supplier of LNG to South Korea. He noted that South Korea has secured the highest number of LNG carrier orders from Qatar. Kim expressed a desire to expand the cooperative relationship with Qatar beyond energy, emphasizing opportunities in the AI sector.

The Qatari minister reciprocated the sentiment, expressing a hope for deepening energy collaboration. He acknowledged the contributions of South Korean companies to Qatar's infrastructure development, marking it as a foundation for enhanced partnership.
