Probe of Crashed Turkish Military Cargo Plane to Take ‘At Least 2 Months’: National Defense Minister

Ankara: Trkiye's National Defense Minister Yasar Guler announced on Monday that the investigation into the black box of a C-130 military cargo plane, which crashed on the Azerbaijan-Georgia border and resulted in the loss of 20 Turkish soldiers, will require "at least two months."

According to Anadolu Agency, Yasar Guler informed reporters after the presidential Cabinet meeting that the process of decoding the boxes and obtaining initial findings is expected to take no less than two months. He elaborated on preliminary findings, stating that although not certain, the tail section appears to break off first before the plane splits into three parts. The minister emphasized that these details would be confirmed through the analysis of the black box.

The black box is currently under examination by the Turkish Aerospace Industry (TUSAS), as efforts continue to uncover the circumstances surrounding the tragic incident.
