Pakistani and Indonesian Armies Conclude 12-Day Joint Counter-Terror Drills

Jakarta: The Pakistani and Indonesian armies on Wednesday concluded their 12-day joint counter-terror exercises in Indonesia. Combat teams from both nations' armies completed the Shaheen Strike-II exercise, fulfilling all training objectives, according to a statement released by the Pakistan Army's media wing, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).

According to Anadolu Agency, the joint training aimed to refine drills, procedures, and techniques involved in counterterrorism operations. The exercise placed particular emphasis on operations in built-up areas and counter-improvised explosive device measures. It also sought to further strengthen the longstanding military-to-military cooperation between the two friendly countries.

Indonesia's Major General of Infantry Division 1 Kostrad, Brigadier Novi Rubadi Sugito, highlighted that the exercise served as a strategic platform for exchanging experiences and enhancing soldier professionalism. The drill was not only a means of strengthening ties but also a significant step in reinforcing stability and peace in the region, particularly in South and Southeast Asia, reported Indonesia Defense Magazine.
