Washington: Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman declared on Wednesday that the economic partnership with the United States is set to experience 'unprecedented growth' in the coming years.
According to Anadolu Agency, bin Salman articulated his appreciation for US President Donald Trump during his speech at the US-Saudi Investment Forum held in Washington. He acknowledged Trump's efforts in fortifying the economic ties between the two nations through a focus on 'growth, economic diversification, and innovation.'
The crown prince expressed his optimism about the future of the economic partnership, emphasizing the expected growth trajectory. He highlighted the signing of numerous new agreements and the initiation of several investment projects across various sectors such as defense, energy, artificial intelligence, rare minerals, and finance during his visit to the US capital.
Furthermore, bin Salman announced the signing of the Strategic Economic Partnership Document, a landmark development aimed at bolstering economic cooperation between the US and Saudi Arabia.
He also expressed hope that the US-Saudi Investment Forum would play a pivotal role in enhancing the 'historic relationship' between Riyadh and Washington, aligning with their shared investment aspirations. Bin Salman encouraged investors to capitalize on the 'attractive opportunities' presented by the Saudi-American partnership.
The crown prince's visit to Washington, which began on Tuesday, is part of a three-day official trip. Notably, President Trump on Tuesday designated Saudi Arabia as a 'major non-NATO ally' and signed a 'historic strategic defense agreement,' further cementing the bilateral ties.
