Trkiye’s Manufacturing Capacity Utilization Rate Increases in November

Ankara: The capacity utilization rate for the Turkish manufacturing industry experienced a slight increase, reaching 74.1% in November, as revealed by a survey conducted by the Turkish Central Bank on Monday. This marks a 0.1 percentage point rise from the previous month of October.

According to Anadolu Agency, the survey indicated that intermediate goods recorded the highest utilization rate at 75.2%, which is a 0.2 percentage point increase from October. Conversely, the durable consumer goods sector, which had the lowest utilization rate, saw an increase of 0.6 percentage points, reaching 69.9%.

When broken down by sector, the manufacture of tobacco products showed the highest capacity usage at 85.2%. In contrast, the leather products sector experienced the lowest utilization rate at 62.6%. These figures are derived from responses collected through a business tendency survey conducted among local manufacturing units.

The Turkish Central Bank reported that a total of 1,791 companies participated in the survey this month. However, it emphasized that the data does not represent the bank's official views or predictions.
