Trkiye’s Intelligence Chief Engages with Qatari and Egyptian Officials on Gaza Ceasefire

Cairo: Trkiye's intelligence chief, Ibrahim Kalin, engaged in discussions with senior Qatari and Egyptian officials in Cairo to address the latest developments in Gaza.

According to Anadolu Agency, the meetings, which took place with Qatar's Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani and Egypt's General Intelligence Service head Hassan Rashad, focused on the ongoing situation in the war-torn Palestinian territory.

The discussions aimed at advancing to the second phase of the Gaza ceasefire agreement, particularly in light of Israel's increasing violations. The involved parties explored strategies to enhance joint efforts, in cooperation with the US, to maintain the ceasefire. A critical component of the talks was strengthening coordination with the Civil Military Coordination Center (CMCC) to eliminate obstacles hindering the ceasefire's continuation and to prevent further violations.

During the meetings, Kalin emphasized Trkiye's commitment to supporting the Palestinian people through all available means. The discussions underscored the importance of collaborative efforts to ensure the ceasefire's success and address the challenges facing Gaza.
