The discussion comes as Kyiv evaluates an updated framework developed during recent discussions with the United States in Geneva.
According to Anadolu Agency, Zelenskyy shared on Telegram that he briefed Chancellor Merz on the latest efforts to end the ongoing war. He highlighted that both Ukraine and Germany are committed to keeping all partners informed about the revised proposal. Zelenskyy emphasized that the Ukrainian delegation recently returned from Geneva with a comprehensive report and an updated framework. He also expressed his appreciation for continued communication with the American side, particularly acknowledging the efforts of President Trump.
Zelenskyy noted Germany's significant support since the onset of the conflict, emphasizing that Ukraine can consistently rely on Germany's leadership and assistance. Additionally, he mentioned that he and Chancellor Merz discussed the upcoming agenda of the Coalition of the Willing meeting, which is co-chaired by Germany, and they agreed to maintain close contact.
