Kyiv: Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on Friday announced a comprehensive overhaul of the Office of the President, confirming the resignation of his chief of staff, Andriy Yermak, as Kyiv prepares for a new phase of negotiations with the United States.

According to Anadolu Agency, Zelenskyy revealed in his evening address that he has recently engaged in nearly 20 conversations with international partners, all of whom have shown strong support for Ukraine's resilience under sustained pressure. He emphasized the importance of internal strength and unity as diplomatic activities gain momentum, announcing that the presidential office will undergo a complete reset.

Zelenskyy confirmed Yermak's resignation and stated that consultations on finding a successor will begin on Saturday. He highlighted that Ukraine's delegation for the upcoming talks will include the commander-in-chief, representatives from the Foreign Ministry, the National Security and Defense Council, and intelligence services. Zelenskyy stressed that all internal efforts must now be focused entirely on defending Ukraine and supporting its diplomatic initiatives.

The forthcoming round of discussions with Washington follows recent US-Ukrainian talks in Geneva concerning a 28-point draft peace proposal. US President Donald Trump noted this week that there might be positive developments in the negotiations, although he cautioned that progress should be measured by tangible results.
