Moscow: The Kremlin has remarked that the recent national security strategy document released by the US administration aligns closely with Russia's perspective. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov conveyed to Russian journalist Pavel Zarubin in an interview that the adjustments noted in the document are largely consistent with Russia's vision, as shared in a fragment on his Telegram account.

According to Anadolu Agency - English, Peskov expressed hope that this alignment might serve as a modest guarantee for continuing joint constructive efforts in finding a resolution to the conflict in Ukraine. He noted that US President Donald Trump's strong domestic political position allows for adjustments in the national security strategy that align with his vision.

Peskov emphasized that Russia supports the document's language advocating against confrontation and in favor of dialogue and building positive relations. In a separate interview with the Russian state news agency Tass, Peskov described the document as a "positive step" and mentioned Moscow's intention to study it thoroughly. He highlighted that the messages in the document contrast with the approaches of previous US administrations.

These remarks follow the Trump administration's release of its National Security Strategy document, which outlines foreign policy and defense priorities. The document emphasizes negotiating a swift end to the prolonged Russia-Ukraine conflict as a core US interest. It also details efforts to stabilize European economies, prevent unintended escalation, and reestablish strategic stability with Russia, alongside supporting Ukraine's post-conflict reconstruction to ensure its viability as a state.
