Washington: White House Chief of Staff Susie Wiles revealed that Donald Trump appears in the Jeffrey Epstein files, contradicting the US president's assertions that the records are a 'hoax.'

According to Anadolu Agency, Wiles stated in an interview with Vanity Fair that Trump was documented in Epstein's files, mentioning his presence on Epstein's plane and manifest. She characterized Trump and Epstein as "sort of young, single playboys together." Wiles criticized Attorney General Pam Bondi's management of the records, dismissing claims of a client list and denying its presence on Bondi's desk.

The Democratic National Committee (DNC) reacted swiftly to Wiles' remarks. DNC Rapid Response Director Kendall Witmer remarked that Trump's own chief of staff could not shield him from the Epstein controversy, accusing Trump of deceiving the public and failing to address demands for transparency as calls intensify for the release of the files.

In the interview, Wiles also critiqued Trump's presidency, accusing him of using his position for "score settling" and describing him as having an "alcoholic's personality." She labeled Vice President JD Vance as a "conspiracy theorist," Office of Management and Budget Director Russell Vought as a "right-wing absolute zealot," and tech entrepreneur Elon Musk as an "avowed ketamine" user. Wiles further remarked on the impact of Trump's tariffs, stating they were "more painful than I expected."

Despite these revelations, Trump recently praised Wiles, calling her "the great chief of staff" and "the greatest."
