Israeli Army Conducts Airstrikes and Shelling in Gaza

Gaza city: The Israeli army conducted airstrikes and artillery shelling in both the northern and southern regions of the Gaza Strip, according to witness accounts gathered by Anadolu. The attacks targeted several areas, notably in the eastern parts of Khan Younis in southern Gaza, where Israeli warplanes hit multiple sites, and artillery shells impacted nearby locations.

According to Anadolu Agency, residents have reported intermittent gunfire from Israeli military vehicles since dawn in these areas. Additionally, off the coast of Khan Younis, Israeli gunboats fired machine guns at fishing boats, as witnesses observed. In the Shujaiya neighborhood of Gaza City, located in northern Gaza, an airstrike by the army resulted in plumes of smoke rising from the targeted zones.

As of now, there is no available information regarding casualties from these recent military actions. However, recent statistics from Gaza's Health Ministry indicate that Israeli violations of the ceasefire have resulted in the deaths of 395 Palestinians and injuries to 1,088 others.

The ongoing conflict, which has intensified since October 2023, has seen Israel responsible for the deaths of more than 70,600 individuals, primarily women and children, and injuries to over 171,100 people in Gaza, despite the existence of a truce.
