Washington: US industrial production rose 0.2% on a monthly basis in November, according to Federal Reserve data released on Tuesday.
According to Anadolu Agency, the figure followed a 0.1% decrease in October. October data was not released on time due to the federal government shutdown.
Meanwhile, manufacturing output remained unchanged in November after falling 0.4% in October. The Federal Reserve highlighted that there were swings in both mining and utilities output over October and November, though, on net, both sectors posted gains.
Capacity utilization, reflecting overall growth and demand in the economy, increased to 76%, surpassing market expectations. On an annual basis, industrial output rose 2.5% in November.
