Ankara: Trkiye's President Recep Tayyip Erdogan met with Sudan Sovereignty Council Chair Abdel Fattah al-Burhan at the Presidential Complex in the Turkish capital Ankara on Thursday. The meeting was held behind closed doors, indicating the significance of the discussions between the two leaders.

According to Anadolu Agency, after the private meeting between Erdogan and Burhan, both delegations are scheduled to participate in a working dinner. The discussions are expected to address issues of mutual interest and cooperation between Trkiye and Sudan.

The welcoming ceremony saw the presence of several key Turkish officials, including Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, National Defense Minister Yasar Guler, Agriculture and Forestry Minister Ibrahim Yumakli, and national intelligence chief Ibrahim Kalin. Also in attendance were Communications Director Burhanettin Duran, head of Defense Industries Secretariat Haluk Gorgun, and Chief Foreign Policy and Security Adviser Akif Cagatay Kilic. Their participation underscores the importance of the meeting and the potential areas of collaboration being explored by the two nations.
