Qabatiya: The Israeli army continued its large-scale offensive in the town of Qabatiya, located south of Jenin in the northern West Bank, for the second consecutive day. This action follows a shooting attack that resulted in the deaths of two Israelis, as reported by local sources to Anadolu. According to Anadolu Agency, the attack, which took place on Friday, involved a combined car-ramming and stabbing incident in the northern Israeli cities of Beit She'an and Afula, leading to the death of two individuals and injuries to two others. In response, Tel Aviv initiated a significant military operation in Qabatiya, attributing the attack to an individual from the town. The operation saw the deployment of around 44 military vehicles and several bulldozers into Qabatiya, where a curfew was imposed and main roads were blocked. Israeli soldiers were stationed throughout the town, with snipers positioned on building rooftops, and a military helicopter conducted machine-gun fire into open areas. Israeli forces arre sted the father and brother of the alleged attacker after raiding their home, taking them to an undisclosed location. Other family members were interrogated, and numerous homes were raided, leading to property destruction and infrastructure damage. Videos from local media showed several young men released with their hands tied behind their backs. Since October 2023, Israeli forces and illegal settlers have been responsible for the deaths of at least 1,103 Palestinians in the West Bank, including East Jerusalem, with nearly 11,000 injured and around 21,000 detained, according to Palestinian figures. Last July, the International Court of Justice declared Israel's occupation of Palestinian territory illegal, calling for the evacuation of all settlements in the West Bank and East Jerusalem.
