Washington: White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt announced that she is expecting her second child next year in May.

According to Anadolu Agency, Leavitt is due to give birth to a baby girl in May 2026. She shared the news of her pregnancy just days before the New Year, expressing her feelings about motherhood.

Leavitt stated, "My husband and I are thrilled to grow our family and can't wait to watch our son become a big brother. My heart is overflowing with gratitude to God for the blessing of motherhood, which I truly believe is the closest thing to Heaven on Earth."

At 28, Leavitt plans to continue her responsibilities as the White House spokesperson throughout her pregnancy. The senior White House official and her 60-year-old husband, Nicholas Riccio, already have a son named Niko, who was born in July 2024.

Leavitt will make history as the first press secretary in US history to serve while pregnant.
