Gaza: Nine Palestinians, including two young siblings, were killed and several injured Thursday when Israeli strikes hit displacement tents and a shelter school in the southern, central, and northern Gaza Strip.

According to Anadolu Agency - English, the Gaza Civil Defense and Emergency Directorate reported that the strike targeted a tent in the Al-Mawasi area of Khan Younis, resulting in the deaths of three individuals.

A medical source at the Nasser Hospital confirmed to Anadolu that the bodies of a woman and two children, Layan Abu Shaqra and brothers Abdullah and Omar al-Abadlah, aged 5 and 7, respectively, were received following the attack. The Palestinian Red Crescent Society in Gaza later stated that the death toll from the strike increased to four. Despite being designated by Israel as a 'safe zone,' Al-Mawasi has continued to experience attacks.

In the Jabalia refugee camp in northern Gaza, a young Palestinian man was killed, and eight others, including children, were injured in a drone strike on a school that was sheltering displaced families, as reported by Gaza's Medical Services Directorate. The directorate also noted that three Palestinians were wounded when an Israeli drone targeted the Khalifa School, another displacement shelter in Beit Lahiya in northern Gaza.

Medical sources informed Anadolu that another Palestinian was killed and several were injured on Thursday when an Israeli drone struck a displacement tent in the al-Attar area of al-Mawasi in Khan Younis. Additionally, a separate drone strike on a displacement tent northwest of Deir al-Balah in central Gaza resulted in another fatality, as reported by sources.

Earlier on Thursday, a Palestinian girl was killed by Israeli fire from military vehicles in the Jabalia camp, and a young man was killed when an Israeli drone dropped a munition in the Sheikh Nasser area east of Khan Younis, according to medical sources and witnesses. Another man was wounded by Israeli gunfire in Gaza City's Zeitoun neighborhood, witnesses reported.

The ongoing offensive by the Israeli army since October 2023 has led to the deaths of more than 71,400 people, mostly women and children, and over 171,000 injuries, leaving the enclave in devastation. Despite the ceasefire, the Israeli army has continued its attacks, resulting in the deaths of 424 Palestinians and injuries to 1,189, according to the Health Ministry.
