Russia Claims Capture of Settlement in Ukraine’s Dnipropetrovsk Region

Moscow: Russia claimed on Thursday that it took control of a settlement in Ukraine's Dnipropetrovsk region.

According to Anadolu Agency - English, a Defense Ministry statement posted on Telegram indicated that Russian forces captured the village of Bratske, located about 3 kilometers northwest of Ostapivske, which Moscow claimed to have captured in December last year.

Ukraine's General Staff previously reported that Russian troops conducted 15 assaults on Wednesday near nine settlements in the Oleksandrivka front, including the villages of Vyshneve and Yehorivka. Both villages are approximately 10 kilometers southeast of Bratske.

Ukrainian authorities have not yet responded to the recent claim, and independent verification of Russia's claims remains challenging due to the ongoing war that has persisted for nearly four years.
