Gaza: The Israeli army has killed at least eight Palestinians, including a child, and wounded others in a series of airstrikes and gunfire across the Gaza Strip. The incidents mark the latest violations of last year's ceasefire agreement, as reported by medical sources.
According to Anadolu Agency, Israeli warplanes targeted a home in Deir al-Balah with two missiles, resulting in the deaths of five Palestinians, including a child. The attack also left a significant number of people injured, who were subsequently taken to Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital. There is concern that the death toll may increase.
The affected area is located outside of Israeli control, which has been in place under the ceasefire since October 2025, as noted by an Anadolu correspondent. In the same city, Israeli forces also killed two Palestinians by targeting the courtyard of their home, according to medical sources.
Emergency teams recovered the body of another Palestinian man from the Al-Alam junction in the Mawasi area of Rafah, with visible gunshot wounds, as per the sources. This attack occurred shortly after a Palestinian girl was injured by Israeli gunfire in Jabalia, a town in northern Gaza from which Israeli forces had withdrawn under the ceasefire arrangements.
Local sources report that Israeli forces conducted artillery and air attacks on several areas across the Gaza Strip. Israeli troops maintain control over the southern and eastern buffer zones of the enclave, as well as significant portions of northern Gaza, holding nearly 50% of the territory.
Palestinians have accused Israel of consistently violating the Oct. 10 ceasefire, which ended a conflict that resulted in over 71,400 deaths, mostly women and children, and more than 171,300 injuries since October 2023. Since the ceasefire, at least 451 Palestinians have been killed and over 1,200 injured in Israeli attacks, according to the Health Ministry.
Despite a UN Security Council resolution adopted in November 2025, which calls for a permanent ceasefire, unimpeded delivery of humanitarian aid, and reconstruction of the territory, Israel has not reopened Gaza's crossings.
