Beirut: Two Lebanese individuals were killed in Israeli airstrikes targeting the Tyre and Nabatieh districts in southern Lebanon, as reported by Lebanon's Health Ministry.

According to Anadolu Agency, the Health Ministry detailed that an Israeli airstrike earlier in the day struck a small truck in the town of Mansouri, located in the Tyre district, resulting in one fatality. Another Israeli strike, which occurred overnight, targeted a car in the town of Mayfadoun in the Nabatieh district, claiming the life of another person.

Lebanon's National News Agency conveyed that an ambulance from the Islamic Risala Scout Association transported a wounded individual to a hospital following the airstrike on the small truck in Mansouri. Additionally, the agency noted the presence of an Israeli drone flying at a very low altitude over Beirut and its southern suburbs.

A ceasefire has been in effect between Israel and Hezbollah in Lebanon since November 2024, following extended hostilities that resulted in over 4,000 deaths and 17,000 injuries amid Israel's conflict in Gaza. Although the Israeli army was expected to fully withdraw from southern Lebanon by January 2025 as part of the ceasefire agreement, they have only partially retreated, maintaining a military presence at five border outposts.
