Istanbul: Trkiye’s benchmark stock index, the BIST 100, opened Wednesday at 12,839.89 points, marking an increase of 0.27% or 34.08 points from the previous close.

According to Anadolu Agency, on Tuesday, the BIST 100 had risen by 0.45%, closing at 12,805.81 points. The day’s transaction volume reached 191 billion Turkish liras, equivalent to $4.4 billion at the time.

As of 10.40 am local time (0740GMT), the exchange rates were reported to be 43.2960 Turkish liras per US dollar, 50.7420 per euro, and 58.2040 per British pound. Meanwhile, the price of an ounce of gold stood at $4,840.80, and Brent crude oil was trading at $63.45 per barrel.
