Trump mentioned that, as a result of the framework, scheduled tariffs on European nations will be paused.

According to Anadolu Agency, Trump communicated the development through his Truth Social platform, emphasizing the productive nature of his meeting with Rutte. He stated that the framework concerns Greenland and the entire Arctic region, although specific details were not disclosed. Trump assured that further discussions are in progress and affirmed the decision to hold off on tariffs initially planned for February 1st.

Russian President Vladimir Putin declared that Russia could allocate $1 billion from its frozen assets to secure permanent membership in Trump's proposed "Board of Peace," an international body focused on peace initiatives. This announcement followed a meeting of the Russian Security Council in Moscow, where Putin directed the Foreign Ministry to explore the proposal and align with international partners.

Additionally, Trump denied speculations that his interest in acquiring Greenland is driven by the pursuit of rare earth minerals. He asserted that security considerations, rather than mineral resources, motivate his efforts regarding the Danish territory. Trump dismissed concerns about the feasibility of extracting such minerals due to Greenland's icy terrain.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan expressed to Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva that Trkiye views all peace initiatives in Gaza as significant. Their conversation covered bilateral and global issues, with Erdogan appreciating Brazil's vocal stance on the situation in Gaza, as reported by Trkiye's Communications Directorate.
