Davos: Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto urged peace over chaos on Thursday, and stressed prioritizing education and poverty eradication in a keynote address to the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland. 'Indonesia chooses peace over chaos. We want to be a friend to all, an enemy to none. Thousand friends, too few for us, one enemy too many. We want to be a good neighbor, a good responsible citizen of the world, protecting the environment, protecting nature,' said Prabowo.

According to Anadolu Agency, Prabowo called on the international community to work towards a future characterized by hope and equitable growth. He emphasized the importance of building a world that fosters peace, freedom, friendship, tolerance, coexistence, and cooperation across all races, ethnicities, and religions. Additionally, he underscored the pursuit of justice, security, and freedom for everyone.

The president highlighted Indonesia's commitment to progress, pointing out that extreme poverty in the country has reached its lowest level in history. He expressed a personal mission to eradicate extreme poverty and reduce overall poverty in the next four years. Prabowo also discussed his initiatives in improving education in Indonesia, which include projects for building and renovating schools. He emphasized that lack of education can lead to the development of failed states.
