New Company Launches in Trkiye Decline Slightly in 2025

Ankara: More than 113,700 new companies were launched in Trkiye in 2025, marking a slight decline from the previous year, according to data released Friday by Trkiye's Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges.

According to Anadolu Agency, a total of 113,779 companies were established during the year, representing a 1.5% decrease from the 115,463 companies launched in 2024, as reported by the union, known as TOBB. The data also revealed that the number of liquidated companies increased to 32,753, a 1.8% rise compared to the previous year.

December 2025 figures indicated sharper short-term fluctuations. The number of newly established companies surged 34.7% from the previous month to 12,795, while showing a 1.1% increase compared with December 2024. In the same month, liquidations climbed 154.3% on a monthly basis to 5,568 companies, although the figure was down 9.4% year over year.

TOBB data further highlighted continued foreign involvement in company formations. In December, 787 companies with foreign partners were established, including 573 with Turkish partners, 22 with German partners, and 21 with partners from Iran.
