Aleppo: The Syrian Defense Ministry stated Monday evening that the army successfully shot down drones deployed by the terror group YPG/SDF, which were aimed at civilian homes near the city of Ayn al-Arab (Kobani) in the northern Aleppo countryside.
According to Anadolu Agency, the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA) reported that the Defense Ministry's Media and Communications Department confirmed that army forces managed to down several suicide and reconnaissance drones belonging to the SDF. The department emphasized that the SDF had attempted to use the drones to target roads and residential areas around Ayn al-Arab in the Aleppo countryside.
The incident occurred despite the recent extension of a ceasefire between the Syrian government and the SDF by 15 days. On Sunday, the Syrian Army accused the SDF of violating the ceasefire agreement by targeting army deployment positions around the Ayn al-Arab area in northern Syria.
