Tyre: One person was killed and two injured in an Israeli airstrike in southern Lebanon on Monday, marking a new violation of a ceasefire deal that has been in effect since November 2024, the Lebanese Health Ministry reported. The strike occurred in the city of Tyre, further escalating tensions in the region.

According to Anadolu Agency, Lebanon's state-run National News Agency (NNA) detailed that an Israeli drone targeted a vehicle on the city's outskirts. Additional reports indicated that Israeli drones were active over the Zahrani and Bisariyeh areas in southern Lebanon, with one drone dropping a sound bomb on a marble factory on the Adissa-Markaba road.

Hezbollah, in a statement, confirmed that Al-Manar TV journalist Ali Nour al-Din was killed in the airstrike on Tyre, which targeted his vehicle. Hezbollah condemned the attack, emphasizing the risk posed by persistent Israeli actions against media personnel.

In another development, an Israeli tank reportedly targeted a house on the outskirts of Aitaroun in the Bint Jbeil district. The Hreika area near Aitaroun was also subjected to mortar shelling from a recently established Israeli military position in Jabal al-Bat.

The ongoing conflict has resulted in the deaths of hundreds of Lebanese due to Israeli ceasefire violations. Israel continues to occupy five Lebanese hilltops, seized during the latest war, alongside other territories held for decades. The conflict, which intensified into a full-scale war in September 2024, has claimed more than 4,000 lives and left approximately 17,000 people wounded.
