Riyadh: Trkiye's President Recep Tayyip Erdogan met with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman in Riyadh, as announced by Trkiye's Communications Director Burhanettin Duran. The meeting took place during Erdogan's official visit to Saudi Arabia, where he was accompanied by his wife, first lady Emine Erdogan, and several key ministers, including Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, Finance Minister Mehmet Simsek, and Defense Minister Yasar Guler.

According to Anadolu Agency, the discussions between Erdogan and the crown prince were held behind closed doors, and no further details were provided regarding the content of the meeting. Following their discussions, Erdogan was honored with a closed-door dinner hosted by Mohammed bin Salman at the Yemame Palace. Earlier in the day, Erdogan was received with an official ceremony by Salman, marking the start of his regional tour.

The visit to Saudi Arabia is the first stop in Erdogan's tour of regional countries. His itinerary includes a subsequent visit to Cairo on Wednesday, where he will co-chair the second meeting of the Trkiye-Egypt High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, as stated by Trkiye's Communications Director Burhanettin Duran.

During his visit to Egypt, Erdogan and President Sisi are expected to engage in discussions on bilateral issues and exchange views on regional and international developments, with a particular focus on the situation in Palestine. Additionally, Erdogan is scheduled to participate in a Trkiye-Egypt Business Forum during his time in Cairo.
