Yancheng: Two people were killed and three others remain missing after a bridge under construction collapsed in Yancheng city in eastern China's Jiangsu province.

According to Anadolu Agency, the state-run Xinhua News Agency reported the incident on Tuesday, citing local authorities. The accident took place on Monday when part of the unfinished bridge suddenly gave way.

Emergency services were dispatched immediately, and search-and-rescue operations continued through the night. An investigation has been launched to determine the cause of the collapse.
