Tehran: Iran's Foreign Ministry announced on Tuesday that preparations are underway for diplomatic talks with the United States, expected to occur in the coming days. The discussions are being organized with ongoing consultations to finalize the venue.
According to Anadolu Agency, Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmail Baghaei shared details with Iran's state-run news agency IRNA, stating that the talks are being planned following a directive from President Masoud Pezeshkian. Baghaei mentioned that while planning has been made to hold the discussions soon, the location will be announced once it is finalized.
He also conveyed appreciation to countries working with 'concern and goodwill' to facilitate the diplomatic process. Baghaei underscored the importance of not allowing media speculation to influence the timing and venue of the talks, highlighting that several regional countries, including Trkiye and Oman, have offered to host the negotiations.
