Turkish Airlines Sees 7.6 Million Passengers in January

Istanbul: Turkish Airlines, Trkiye's national carrier, announced that it transported 7.6 million passengers in January, achieving an 84% load factor. The airline revealed these figures in a statement published on Trkiye's Public Disclosure Platform, noting a 12.4% increase in passenger numbers compared to the same month last year.

According to Anadolu Agency, the load factor experienced a minor increase of 1.6 percentage points when compared to January 2025. The airline also reported a rise in international-to-international passenger numbers, which grew by 10.8% to reach 3.1 million. The load factor for international passengers was 83.7%, while the domestic load factor stood at 87.5%.

The airline's available seat kilometers saw a 6.4% increase, reaching 23.7 billion from 21.5 billion in January 2025. In terms of cargo and mail, Turkish Airlines recorded an 18.8% surge, with volumes hitting 178,303 tons during the same period. By the end of January, the company's fleet expanded to include 522 aircraft.
