Geneva: Iran's Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi departed Tehran for Geneva to engage in a second round of indirect nuclear talks with the United States, as reported by the Foreign Ministry.

According to Anadolu Agency, Araghchi leads a diplomatic and expert delegation to the Swiss city, with plans to conduct several consultations on the sidelines of the talks. The Iranian Foreign Ministry's statement, cited by the state-run Press TV, notes that the discussions are scheduled for Tuesday in Geneva, with Omani representatives serving as mediators.

The ministry further details that Araghchi will engage with Swiss and Omani Foreign Ministers, Ignazio Cassis and Badr Albusaidi, respectively, as well as Rafael Grossi, the director general of the International Atomic Energy Agency, and other international officials stationed in Switzerland.

This round of nuclear talks follows the previous session held in Oman on February 6, which occurred over eight months after the Iran-Israel conflict hindered diplomatic progress. Recent interventions by Turkey and other regional states have sought to alleviate tensions and reopen diplomatic channels, a necessity underscored by US President Donald Trump's threats of military action against Iran.
