Turkish Stock Exchange Ends Tuesday Down

Istanbul: The Turkish benchmark stock index concluded Tuesday's trading session with 14,227.29 points, marking a decline of 0.78% from the previous close.

According to Anadolu Agency, the BIST 100 index commenced the day at 14,314.06 points, ultimately dropping 112.01 points from Monday's closing level. Throughout the day, the index experienced a low of 14,227.29 points and reached a high of 14,409.27 points.

A total of 64 indexes saw a decrease in value, whereas 35 ended the day with gains. The transaction volume for the day amounted to 198.7 billion Turkish liras, equivalent to approximately $4.54 billion. The overall market value of the index stood at 14.11 trillion liras, or $323.3 billion.

As of 6.20 pm local time (1520GMT), the exchange rates were recorded with the USD/TRY at 43.7275, EUR/TRY at 51.6950, and GBP/TRY at 59.1550. On the commodities front, the price of gold per ounce was $4,870.05, while Brent crude was priced at $66.85.
