Washington: US President Donald Trump announced on Thursday that he has instructed federal agencies to declassify and release government records concerning extraterrestrial life and unexplained aerial phenomena. ‘Based on the tremendous interest shown, I will be directing the Secretary of War, and other relevant Departments and Agencies, to begin the process of identifying and releasing Government files related to alien and extraterrestrial life, unidentified aerial phenomena (UAP), and unidentified flying objects (UFOs), and any and all other information connected to these highly complex, but extremely interesting and important, matters,’ Trump conveyed on his Truth Social platform.
According to Anadolu Agency, Trump also accused former President Barack Obama of making classified information public regarding extraterrestrial life. “He gave classified information. He’s not supposed to be doing that,” Trump remarked to reporters aboard Air Force One. He expressed that Obama made a significant error by disclosing such information and mentioned that he “may get him out of trouble by declassifying” this information, though he did not clarify what specific information he was referring to.
Interest in extraterrestrial life has surged following Obama’s comments during an interview with podcast host Brian Tyler Cohen, where he stated that aliens ‘are real.’ Obama added that while extraterrestrials are real, he has not personally seen them, and there is no evidence of them being kept in Area 51, a US Air Force facility often linked to conspiracy theories about aliens.
Obama further elaborated on Instagram, emphasizing the statistical likelihood of life elsewhere in the universe but doubting any contact with extraterrestrials due to the vast distances between solar systems. During his presidency, he claimed to have seen no evidence of alien contact. Area 51, located in southern Nevada, is known for its secretive nature, primarily serving as an aircraft testing site, yet it remains a focal point for alien-related conspiracy theories.
