Moscow: Russia's Foreign Ministry on Sunday claimed that the United States and Israel are attempting to disrupt the process of normalizing relations between Iran and its Arab neighbors.

According to Anadolu Agency, the ministry expressed concern about the escalation of armed confrontation throughout the Middle East as a result of 'US and Israeli aggression against Iran.' The statement highlighted that efforts to change the regime in Iran, including extreme measures such as targeting the leadership of a sovereign state, are part of a broader strategy by Washington and Tel Aviv to hinder Iran-Arab relations.

Moscow urged all involved parties to refrain from using force and to pursue political and diplomatic solutions to address any disagreements. The ministry condemned the recent attack on a girls' school in Minab, Iran, which resulted in the deaths of many children, emphasizing that attacks on civilian targets in both Iran and Arab countries are unacceptable.

The situation escalated on Saturday when the US and Israel launched an attack on Iran, resulting in the death of several top Iranian leaders, including Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. In response, Tehran conducted a series of drone and missile strikes targeting locations in Israel, US interests, and several Gulf countries.
