Tel aviv: At least eleven people were lightly injured in new Iranian missile attacks on central Israel, media reports said Tuesday.

According to Anadolu Agency, the Yedioth Ahronoth newspaper, citing Israel's emergency service MDA, reported that five individuals were wounded at two sites in central Israel. Among the injured, a woman in her 40s sustained moderate injuries due to a shockwave, while four others suffered light injuries from glass shrapnel and shockwaves.

Media sources detailed that damage to a building in Bnei Brak resulted from fragments of interceptor missiles. Additionally, shrapnel was reported to have fallen in Ramat Gan after missile launches from Iran, leading to vehicles catching fire in Rosh HaAyin. The Israeli military estimates that the missile carried a fragmentation warhead, causing shrapnel to disperse over wide areas.

The incident triggered sirens warning of rocket and missile fire across central Israel, with alerts later extended to the Galilee and the Haifa area in northern Israel. The recent escalation in tension follows a large-scale attack by the US and Israel on Iran on Saturday, which resulted in nearly 800 casualties, including Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

In retaliation, Tehran has launched drone and missile strikes targeting Israel and Gulf countries housing US assets.
