Syria: Syria and Jordan on Thursday condemned an Iranian ballistic missile launch against Trkiye and a drone attack targeting an airport in Azerbaijan, calling them "a blatant violation of the sovereignty" of the two countries.

According to Anadolu Agency, Syria's Foreign Ministry affirmed its full rejection of all forms of violence and escalation that target civilians and infrastructure, calling for adherence to international laws and the principles of good neighborliness. The ministry stated that the attacks pose "a threat to regional and international security and stability," expressing Damascus' "full solidarity" with Ankara and Baku. The statement urged the international community to assume responsibilities and protect regional security and peace.

Jordan's Foreign Ministry also voiced Amman's "rejection" of the attacks, describing them as "a dangerous escalation that threatens the security and stability of the region." Jordan pledged support for Ankara and Baku "in any steps they take to protect their sovereignty, security, and the safety of their citizens."

The Turkish National Defense Ministry reported on Wednesday that a ballistic munition fired from Iran and directed toward Turkish airspace was intercepted and neutralized by NATO air and missile defense units in the Eastern Mediterranean.

On Thursday, the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry stated that the Nakhchivan exclave was hit by drones launched from Iranian territory, with one drone striking the terminal building of Nakhchivan International Airport and another landing near a school building in the village of Shakarabad.

These incidents occurred as Israel and the US continue a large-scale offensive on Iran that began Saturday, resulting in at least 926 casualties, including Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei and top military officials. In retaliation, Iran has launched drone and missile strikes targeting Israel and Gulf countries, which host US military assets.
