Ankara: Qatar announced a partial resumption of air navigation Friday through designated 'emergency routes.
According to Anadolu Agency, the Qatar Civil Aviation Authority stated that air traffic in the country has partially resumed through 'emergency air corridors' with limited capacity. The decision was made in full coordination with the Qatari armed forces and other relevant state entities amid the ongoing regional escalation.
Qatar Airways had announced a suspension on February 28, extending it several times due to explosions in Doha amid US-Israeli attacks on Iran. Regional tensions have escalated since the United States and Israel launched a large-scale attack Saturday against Iran, resulting in over 1,000 casualties, including Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, more than 150 schoolgirls, and senior military officials.
In retaliation, Iran has launched comprehensive barrages targeting US bases, diplomatic facilities, and military personnel across the region, as well as multiple Israeli cities. The situation continues to escalate.
