Tehran: Iran's Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi issued a stern warning to the United States on Monday, stating that Tehran is "fully prepared" for any further escalation as tensions continue to impact global markets. Araghchi's remarks come amidst a backdrop of rising oil prices and a volatile commodities market.

According to Anadolu Agency, Araghchi took to the US-based social media platform X to convey his message: "Nine days into Operation Epic Mistake, oil prices have doubled while all commodities are skyrocketing." He accused the US of "plotting against our oil and nuclear sites in hopes of containing huge inflationary shock," and emphasized that "Iran is fully prepared" for any potential conflicts.

The minister further cautioned that Iran has "many surprises in store," reflecting the heightened state of readiness within the country. The regional escalation follows a joint attack by Israel and the US on Iran on February 28, which resulted in the deaths of more than 1,200 people, including Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

The Pentagon has reported that over 50,000 US troops are currently engaged in what it has termed Operation Epic Fury. In response, Tehran has launched drone and missile strikes targeting locations in Israel, Jordan, Iraq, and Gulf countries where US military assets are stationed.
