Beijing: China on Monday criticized remarks made by Estonia's Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkna, describing them as 'irresponsible.' Tsahkna had commented that most allies of Russian President Vladimir Putin are either deceased, in hell, or imprisoned, with only a few remaining, including North Korea and potentially China. He suggested that Putin's authority is declining.

According to Anadolu Agency, China's Foreign Ministry spokesman Guo Jiakun responded by asserting that China maintains friendly cooperative relations with all countries, including Russia, based on principles of mutual respect, equality, and mutual benefit. Guo urged Estonia to consider China-Russia relations from an objective and rational standpoint and to refrain from making irresponsible remarks.

Guo further commented on Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi's statement regarding Beijing and Moscow's strategic coordination. He emphasized that China's relationship with Russia is founded on non-alliance, non-confrontation, and not targeting any third party. When questioned about China's stance on Russia's actions in Ukraine, Guo reiterated that China's position is consistent, guided by the four points presented by President Xi Jinping.

Beijing has also issued a document titled China's Position on the Political Settlement of the Ukraine Crisis, highlighting principles such as maintaining peace and stability, opposing selfish gains, and reducing global tensions. Additionally, China has stressed the importance of creating conditions for peace, avoiding actions that could escalate tensions, minimizing negative impacts on the global economy, and preserving the stability of global industrial and supply chains.
